Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
1. About Cactus
Cactus is an independently developed sport, health and fitness platform. For privacy enquiries, contact support@cactushealth.co.uk.
2. Information Cactus may process
Depending on the features you choose to use, Cactus may process account information, information you enter into the app, training and activity information, goals and progress information, and health or fitness information that you choose to provide or authorise Cactus to access.
Cactus will only request access to third-party health or activity information where it is required for a feature you choose to use. Planned integrations include fitness and health services such as Garmin, Strava and Apple Health. The exact data permissions requested will be documented and limited as those integrations are completed.
3. How information is used
Information is used to provide and operate Cactus, display and organise information for you, support features you choose to use, maintain account and application functionality, diagnose technical problems, improve reliability and security, and respond to support requests.
4. Service providers
Cactus uses third-party infrastructure and development services. The current app architecture includes Google Firebase for application backend services and Sentry for crash and error monitoring. The public Cactus website is hosted using Netlify. These providers may process limited information where necessary to provide their respective services.
Additional providers and connected fitness services will be added to this policy before their integrations are made available to users.
5. Health and fitness information
Health and fitness information is treated as sensitive. Cactus does not intend to sell health information or use health information obtained through connected health services for targeted advertising. Access to connected health or fitness services will be optional and subject to the permissions you grant.
6. Data sharing
Cactus does not intend to sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers where necessary to operate Cactus, where you direct Cactus to connect with another service, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the security and integrity of the service.
7. Retention and deletion
Cactus aims to retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. Account deletion and appropriate deletion of associated user data are part of the launch requirements for Cactus. Final retention periods and deletion procedures will be documented before public release.
8. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and Cactus will continue to review its security controls as development progresses.
9. Your choices and rights
You can choose whether to provide optional information and whether to connect supported third-party health and fitness services. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability of your personal information.
10. Children
The minimum age and any additional protections required for younger users are being assessed before public launch. Cactus will not knowingly launch functionality for children without implementing the privacy and consent measures required by applicable law and platform rules.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy will change as Cactus approaches launch and as features or service providers change. The current version and its last-updated date will remain available on this page.
